Our aim is to help and support people to regain driving confidence following injury. We have specific experience in working with people who have lost their independence because they are unable to drive following involvement in a road traffic collision (and who have subsequently lost the ability to lead a meaningful life). We also specialise in assisting people who have sustained serious injuries, such as brain and spinal injuries and orthopaedic injuries who may need specialist driving rehabilitation to help them adopt safer methods of driving.
We understand that driver confidence can be lost following a road traffic collision and the damaging effect this can have on independence, family life and the quality of life overall. We often work with clients who are involved in a compensation claim and we are experienced in working alongside multi-disciplinary teams of professionals involved in a person’s clinical rehabilitation.
We support people who have already passed a driving test to return to driving their own vehicle and encourage them to adopt advanced driving techniques in order to increase their confidence behind the wheel. Our service is ‘non-test’ focused which removes the stress and anxiety often associated with standard driving lessons.
We offer a flexible approach to training and will carry out a comprehensive initial assessment with clients at a location of their choice.
The solution to overcoming any barriers to driving can vary depending on the cause. That’s why we offer a range of services which are aimed at driver confidence, driver emotions and driving development/skills. An example of what we can offer is:-
Awareness and anticipation
Parking and Manoeuvring
Distractions both in and out of the car
